hey mom, i am doing really well. i hope your surgery goes well tomorrow and i will be praying for you, sounds like you are in good hands and you will be taken care of really well. my health is good, i havent had to use the medicane yet and the food we eat is usually healthy. i usually have a bowl of cereal in the morning and then we eat at our comedor which has rice every meal and some kind of meat and some drink, it is really good, i really love rice now. ha, and yeah and for dinner we eat whatever is around, so like we drink water but we dont really get too much of an opportunity to get it, we have to buy a gallon of water because the water from the sink is dangerous, we actually just went like 2 weeks without a shower because the water went out but it came back saturday night. ha, i was showered with a hose one night and about froze my butt off. it was so cold, but it felt good to be clean, man logan goes in so soon,
can you believe that i have been out for almost 15 weeks now, we have changes coming up, not this wednesday but the next, i´ll probably stay in mixco and elder hardy might go but we dont know. wow i cant believe  that alexis met that guy at disneyland that is so funny, i got a letter from aunt becky and uncle darl last week. it was good to hear from them. i noticed they moved too. wow that sure would be neat if ironwood could win state, they would be pretty amazing then. and craig and garrett are doing good, garrett is loving chile and says it is the summer there now and is loving the food. craig says he is having some baps and etc but he is going to mexico in a couple weeks so he is very excited for that, the people we are teaching are really good. it is rough sometimes though when they just say they dont want to hear from us anymore or they just try and say they are to busy for us, it is so sad. like this one girl she says she knew the church is true and that she loved the message but her husband in canada who ditched her says she is not aloud to talk to us anymore. it is so sad when we get news like that , i dont wear my glasses because pres alvarado said it would be ok to wear contacts i just had to make sure i clean them. also i saw the mtc kids at the temple and the first counselor but i did not see pres steimle. it was a really neat experience and we travel here always by bus, it is only 1 quet which is like 12 cents or something, but that is how everyone travels here. we do not speak in church but they do make us go and get people for church and if we have no one in church they dont even want us there. so we always get investigadors and then go to church with them, it is a blast though. that is cool that james is engaged now. i want to know how he did it.

ok so this past week not a lot happened. saturday we had the baptism of diana mercedes monroe vasquez, it was really cool. elder hardy baptized her and it was really neat. she was so happy, we were worried that the baptism didnt go as well but she was very thankful and was really really happy. i guess she has been investigating for like 4 years now and finally decided to get baptized. so that was really neat. here is a spiritual warning moment that we had. so after the baptism we went up to the city and were heading to our sita, appointment, and when we got there the house and street were really dark, we felt really iffy and thought about not going but we went an knocked anyways, no one came to the door except a drunk in the street who lived there came and said we can go in the house and knock on the girls door. it was a 3 story builiding. we go in and he turns on the light and we were about to walk up the stairs and he just looked at us really weird and was like, i love the dark and turned off the lights. me and elder hardy were just, ahh crap. so we immediately were like, alright you go up first and we will follow. he went up and we just bolted out of there. both of us felt a spirit that just said get the heck out of there. so we just got as far away as possible. it was scary. but im glad that we have the spirit with us to guide us and to help us. god sure does know how to protect us and he will warn us of bad things if we listen to his warnings and act on them. i was so thankful for being safe that night. oh and a couple things i need, one of my belts snapped and broke so i cant wear it anymore. also could you possibly send the clippers. well that is all i have for this week. i will talk to you next week. i love you all so much and i´ll talk to you later.

love elder daniel shipley
