and I'm feeling more weak and my bones are just exhausted. Is this the
bad part of getting old? Haha kidding. No but I had a pretty good
week. Now that it is the end of the week, I feel like I had a Rachel
birthday where it actually went for about a week instead of one day
haha but I'll explain all that in the letter. So here we go.
Monday- so on Monday it went normal and we just had our Pday. I wasfeeling really tired so that's why my letter was a little lame last
week. Ps why didn't you post that letter haha. So we went and played
soccer at the church and it was fun. I must say I've gotten pretty
dang good at soccer lately. I made the winning goal.
Then after we just went to eat at taco bell and then we did our Internet. After thatwe went to work. We went with the bishop to his house where we had a
fhe with him and his family and it went alright. He talked about
inviting people And how sometimes that is all we need to do with
people to get them going. If we never ask how can we expect someone to
just come along? Now he did say it was possible but mainly we need to
ask. So after he did that I asked him for 5 names of people in the ward
that needed a visit or with whom we could press service. He gave us a
couple which we will be visiting them this coming week. After we ate
tostadas. Which were really good and his wife made a really good drink
and we had fun visiting with them and getting to know them more.
Tuesday- the Holy Sacred Day.
First off my buddy elder erickson called me and wished me a happy
birthday and my old mission leader hermano borris from mixco called me
and wished me one too, that man literally is like my father here. I
can't wait for you guys to meet that family. So in the morning we went
to our district reunion which went really well and was fun. We just
did a lot of practices and kept making up scenarios which were funny
and we just had fun with that. Then after we left on divisions for the day. I went with the district leader elder price. He is a really cool
kid who is also from Arizona. Anyways from there we went and met up
with hermana guinac and she took us to a house where she and some
friends made lunch for me.
laughing and talking about old parties we had for our bdays. It was so
much fun. Then after them we went with another family called the
family Guzman. There is one of my converts in this area. They made us
chicken also with a soup and some potatoes. It was pretty good and Fun
too. And had a cake with them too. Then we went to a third house an
they made another cake and we also ate some tostadas which was pretty
good. ha elder price was like I don't think i can eat anymore and
neither could I. Haha. So we stayed at that families house and played
telephone and it was so much fun. There was this one girl who has like
6 years and every time it got to her she would say another word which
made it just hilarious. Haha but we had a great time and I had a really good birthday.
Wednesday - so on wednesday in the morning we went to the office with
the Zone leaders to help them bring some boxes back. It was pretty fun
and we had a blast doing so. However i see Walmart is making their
move on Guatemala now there are some new ones that have just opened up
which I'm happy about so I'll go another day to see if it is cheaper
or if the side street stores are still cheaper haha. So then we
returned to our area and I was still with elder price. We went and
played a little soccer with my English class and then we had a test.
With the class we watched the short Joseph smith movie and it was
pretty good. I love that movie so much and I always feel the spirit
when I watch it. Just a really neat feeling.
Thursday - so Thursday we ended divisions and apparently my comp was
a little sick so we went home and he took a nap. While he was sleeping
I was just thinking a lot about what I'm going to do when I get home. I
really think i'm going to be going to Phoenix to live and go to school
but sometimes I think about like Utah or somewhere else
different. But I'm almost positive I'll be going to Phoenix. Then I
was thinking about how me Garrett and Caitlin say were going to live
on a cul de sac when were older with our kids and our spouses and how
fun that will be and etc. But who the heck knows who I'll marry or
what my job will be but over time I'll figure it out. Haha. Anyways we
went that night with our mission leader and we ate with them. Wow that
spaghetti was soooooooo good that we ate there.
And the wife made this cake as well. Ha it was just amazing. I don't even know how to describe it but it was just so dang good.
Friday - so Friday we went and ate with mamalinda and it was pretty
good. She made me some of these noodles stuff and chicken that I love.
The Safeway kind. Haha I figured out how to explain it to her and she
told me she loved that too so we will be having more of that. =]
anyways there was some guy there too and we talked with him for a bit
and he was a really cool guy. Really nice. After we went and visited
the family de Leon and they were alright too they were busy with their
comedor cooking for people who pass by so we helped them out by
cooking with them. Then we went that night with the family Reyes who i
kid you not has a daughter that looks like crystal wightman. The
Latina crystal I call her haha. So we had fun visiting with them and
we just got to know them alot so it was fun. Anyways the kids to this
family are really cool so hopefully they can probably help us out
alot. then we went with the family pinto where we ate some really good
food with them. Haha just bread with ham ketchup and mayonnaise. It
was reall good. But that was pretty much our day it was pretty good.
Saturday - so Saturday we went looking for alot of menus activos that
the bishop wants us to visit but couldn't find anyone home or who
wanted us to visit. Then we found out today was the final for
barcelona in soccer so everyone was watching that. Lets just say that
every soccer game here is a excuse to not work be with your friends
and drink. People get crazy for these games. But it is funny. After
the game me and my comp set up soccer sabado where we play with all
our investigators and some members. It's a good chance for them to get
involved and stuff like that so that was really fun. And we played
with my English class too. Haha they all call me proffy now in my
class. It is funny. But anyways that pretty much was our Saturday.
Sunday - so Sunday went really well I thought i don't know why but I
really liked it and felt really good inside. The talks were on temple
work and the importance of being there and the peace it brings. All I
could think about the whole time was when I'm going to have the chance
to be with you guys in the celestial room again. I can't wait. Anyways
since it was the 5th Sunday we had a meeting with the bishop and the
ward and it was really spiritual. We talked about the law of
consecration and then watched a video of the story of the man named
john tanner. I don't know if you have heard of him but I love that
story and after there wasn't one dry eye in the room. It was amazing
and I can't even tell you how much I love feeling the spirit. It is
great. So anyways that was church. After we went looking for some
people to visit but didn't have too much luck. We saw one of our
investigators and set an appointment with him. He is a really cool guy
and I have a lot of love for him and his family. Then after we went
with two families who are members and talked with them about the ward
and how they can help us out. But yeah that was our Sunday. It went
well and relaxing.
So yeah it was a pretty dang good week and I had a ton of fun. So idk
if you'll send a package or just send something with Terry but there
are these cool things one of my buddy has called rock rings and they
work really well on working people out. Elder oakey told me it's the
only thing he does and he has gotten strong from them so If you can
get some of those and send them that'd be cool. They are only like 29
dollars. Maybe send them with the memory chip when you send that
back.which I heard it's always moresafe to seed the memory chips with
a giant bag of hot cheeteos. Haha But I hope you guys have a great
week and take care of yourselves. I love you guys and miss you all so
much.

The new 20 year old.
(I think why Daniel is not sending pictures and forgetting his cable, is because he would have had to have gained 10 pounds this past week - my goodness, I'm full just hearing about it.)
Hey mom thanks for that letter I really needed it. I think being with
my last comp just got me going a little but I can assure you I try
really really hard to stay humble. After all we learn in Alma 5 I
think it is that it is the pride that destroys the church. When that
enters in the church there is in trouble. I'm really thankful for the
example I've had with missionaries in my life and we are working a lot
with the kids here with the idea to get them excited about the
missions and so they will be faithful missionaries. I love working
with them because I learn so much about Guatemala and more
perspectives from the scriptures.
Go on more walks. Go out with friends more help the missionaries. Find out where
the sisters are and go help them. I love you mom and I try so hard everyday. I
try to work hard because in the end of the days i always feel good
whether I worked hard or not. But in my heart I feel better when I know
the work I did will save a soul. I love the missionary work. It is so
great. Demanding but amazing. I haven't gotten any mail lately only one
from Ann hughes but we get mail tomorrow so we'll see. I hope you get
the package this week. You should. That's so sad for walker. What
happened why did Leo die? This would be a good chance for you to share
Moroni 8 with them and the comfort that their baby will go back withGod. And then the missionaries can come in and teach the plan of salvation. But yeah feel for them. Well were out now. Talk to you
later. Go to lunch with Bangor sometime soon and with sister flake. Its my
