Things are going great here; I take it that you already know the news about me and Elder Walker. My question is, how you find out this info so dang quickly. You have your little spies here in the office don’t you? Ha, just kidding. I love it, Elder Walker is a great elder and I could not be happier to have him be my last companion. Since then we have had a ton of fun and a lot of success these first couple days. I know that the Lord truly is blessing us. On Thursday we had a companionship study with President Stay and it went extremely well. President is so intelligent and helped us out a lot. He was just watching how we study and helped us study for an investigator and I could feel a deep and strong love for that investigator after we were done studying for her. President said that when we feel that love for our investigators, we know that the Spirit is confirming what it is that we need to do and we shall go on with our plans. So we were so excited to go and share that lesson with the Hermana Sandra and it went super well, all except the fact that she was not there. We have found though that the lesson plan we have made applies to a lot of people. In fact we were invited to participate in a zone meeting with a zone in the mission and we were invited to talk about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We were teaching and I was finishing it up, right at that moment I asked the missionaries to share their testimonies about the atonement within their companionship. The Spirit I felt there was so unreal there. Just as they were sharing their testimonies, I couldn’t hear them very clearly, but I knew whatever they were saying was the truth and I knew that Jesus Christ was present in that meeting. It was so touching and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be there. I love these people so much; I love all the missionaries that are here serving along side of me. I love these Guatemalans and I just wish that they could grasp what it is we are trying to teach them.
Anyways, as to Elder Call´s mom's question, in the office we sell books of all the church art for 5 quetz and 50 cents, that is the best way that I have found to show kids how to learn and how to understand the basic gospel principles. Even from there though I mainly just use games and I use examples to where they can understand it really easily. For example if they are adults I generally relate the gospel to a business or if they are kids I relate it to a school setting and etc. He has been moved though to a rather rich area. He is in the area where I was when I was a zone leader. They changed the area for the zone leaders though and he is training an elder there. He is in San José Pinula.
Alright I will try to get that picture for you, we are actually going to be traveling this week doing district leader training and so I will try to find some people to take a picture with. So what is this trip with me you and the grams to San Diego when I get back? When will that be and what will it be?
Anyways, thanks for all you do mom, I sure do love you. I miss you guys so much and I can’t believe that I will be home so soon. I am so very thankful for all the great things that the good Lord has done for me. I know that He truly is blessing our family and the families that we are visiting here in Guatemala. I love these people, they are true descendents of Lehi and Nephi, and they are so anxious to learn of these things. They help us so much and are so kind to us. The other day a member called us over, she is 82 years old and she gave us a reference to a family of 8. The church truly is flourishing here and it makes me so happy to see. I love this work and make me sad that it is almost over.
