I returned from Phoenix today and found a registered mail receipt on the counter - how had Ken missed it? I sent him to the post office to pick up the letter and I was a little nervous - did I get flashed by the cameras?? He came home with a smile, yelling "Score, package from Daniel"!

What a treat!! It was full of local letters for me to mail, a camera memory chip - full of photos, a Guatemala jersey for Ken, leather bracelets for me, Ken, Rachel and Eric, Guatemalan money and two lengthly letters for us. All the gifts were great but the best was his testimony expressing his love of the Gospel. His love for the Lord's Prophet and Apostles.
He closed the letter with this:
"I love you all so much and am so thankful for the examples you have set for me and have inspired me to be where I am today. There was an elder here who was playing the piano. He is very good and all I could think of was being home and Dad playing the piano. I cannot wait to get home and that is one of the first things I want to do is sit and listen to. I love you two."
Could he have possibly known that today was our 28th wedding anniversary and these few sentences were the best gift we could possibly receive?
And now a BOATLOAD of photos!!! Click on photos to enlarge.
