Hey mom, how is it going, i hope all is going well for you guys. well here is my week.

Monday - so Monday we didn't do to much for p day, we went to the capilla and played soccer for a little bit with the zone which is always fun, then we went to Mira Flores and ate lunch there then we went back home and took a nap because we were so tired from the week. i wrote a couple letters cause i got one from Crystal, and one from a friend of a friend i have here who lives in Peoria, Tayler. so also that night we found out that we are not having changes. I am here one more change with my same comp. we are pretty excited and are probably going to get a lot done this change. we just have to always work hard. so yeah that is pretty much all that happened on Monday.

Tuesday - So in the morning we went and visited this one lady who is named Gloria Gomez. she is super cool and she loves the lesson we taught so much. she had us thinking she really was interested but in the end we committed her to baptism but she told us no she wasn't going to change her religion. she says all her family has been catholics for years and refuses to change for that reason. it is so sad when people let that reason block their way of coming to the church. this church is so real and so legit no one can argue it and it is sad for the people who take advantage of this church. i was thinking about it the other day, and really our church is really the only true church that can claim divine authority from God. but oh well. so also we went and visited this other family who is just super cool. The family Alvarez, I'm pretty sure we will baptize them this month but we will see. all in time. they loved everything we explained and they said that they could feel something different when we were there. and we just explained to them that that is the Spirit. it was really cool. also that night we had a family home evening which went really good. we talked about prayer and how prayer is so powerful. it really is so true, i learned a lot that night and really has strengthen my testimony of prayer. but more importantly i taught about how prayer is so powerful all the time and really directs us to do good stuff, but if we don't follow the Spirit afterwords then it is worthless. but yeah so that was Tuesday.

Wednesday - so Wednesday were changes. it was pretty cool because one of the kids in our ward was to enter into the ccm so we went to the ccm and saw him off. i also saw one of my teachers from the ccm and i talked with her. it was so cool because i could talk to her in Spanish the whole time. we only talked in English a little so i could see how it was going for her. but then we just talked about how the mission was going and stuff like that. so after that we went to tierra blanca to go and contact and i met this one lady who i taught a mini lesson about baptism and about the authority of Jesus Christ and why it is important to look for this authority and how we are not saved unless we are baptized by this authority. it really hit her and we set a return appointment so hopefully we can teach her and get somewhere with her. but yeah that is pretty much Wednesday.

Thursday - so Thursday we taught this one lady named xxxx. she is a really cool person and says she would like to be baptized in the church. so we were asking her some questions to make sure she was eligible but we found out she is living with her boyfriend who is not her husband. so we told her that we would help her get married but then we found out he is with multiple girls so we are teaching her to either get married or to lose him. i don't know why she wants to be with him anyways but oh well. so we are currently working on her. then we went and taught this guy named Leonel Garcia. he is super cool. he is now ready for us to put a fecha with him so hopefully we can get that done this week. then that night something funny happened. we were walking home and all the sudden this crazy guy stopped us and we were talking to him. i had a weird feeling about him, he just looked like a snake and just something really weird with him, so we went in his house and his house is actually like a mini church, i am almost positive that he is in charge of a cult and it was just really sketchy. He has this group for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol but we are going to return another day this week and teach the group. i think we can probably baptize all of them so we will see. it would be neat to help these people with their needs and teach this guy how he can make this a business and not a cult. but yeah that day went pretty good.

Friday - So on Friday we didn't really do to much, just a lot of contacting and visiting minus actives. while we were contacting, this one lady told me, wow i have been wondering when you guys would come and visit me here in my house. so i shared with her the first principle about God is our loving Heavenly Father and she loved it. we are going back this Thursday to go and talk with her and see what we can do with her. we all felt that she has the opportunity of progressing fast and getting baptized soon. so that was really neat, we found some really good people this week. then we taught this other family and the lesson went really well but when it ended they gave us this drink that was just so gross. it was just bananas mushed up. i wanted to puke while eating it but i got it down. well most of it, haha, but yeah i guess it was one of the typical foods that they eat here. it was just so gross. so anyways that is pretty much for Friday.

Saturday - So in the morning we had a Baptism. we had it with our Zone leaders and did it in their area. The zone leader baptized her and her name is Wendy Lucia de Barrientes Gonzales. she is super cool and she is going to be a great convert. and will do a lot for the church. i can see her having a good future in the church and really being good. i gave a talk in the meeting too about the doctrine of Christ. i taught from 3 Nephi 27 though and it was really cool. i suggest you read that when you have time. Then we went to a members house and ate lunch in their area. Hermana Guinac is the lady we ate with. we ate Lasagna which was really really good, and also a cheese cake that she made for us. it was so good. then after we returned to our area where we had divisions. i went to a members house and we watched the Testaments and also a Joseph Smith movie. it was really good. i love the movie the Testaments so much and the Spirit it brings to people when we watch it with them. so while i was there my comp went and worked in tierra blanca. he taught 2 lessons and hopefully they went well. he says they did. but yeah so that was pretty much our Saturday. it was a pretty good one especially since we had the baptism.

Sunday - So In church we had a lot of people come on this day. We have been averaging lately about 120 members coming to church recently but yesterday we had 150 people, with 10 investigators. that is a lot for missionaries. and is really good. it was so awesome. we are currently planning a big baptism for the 26th of march. so that is what we are working for right now. so after church which went really good, we went and ate lunch with Hermana Flor. their family sends their love. i love eating with that family, mainly because their food is so good and they are the nicest people ever. i am going to come back and visit them when i have the chance after the mission. so it was really fun and we had a good conversation with them. then that night we went and visited that family alvarez because they came to church and they loved it. so they just had a bunch of questions and we taught them about the questions they had. they loved it and they really think we are good people. but they are not sure about us yet, but we told them with time and prayer they will find out we are good, because we can teach all we want, but the only thing that converts people and lets people know that they are apart of our church is that if they pray and get their answer from God. so that was really cool what we taught them.

alright so that is my week. it went really good so here are just a couple of things i thought of that i could use for this week. A usb 4 gb, and also Peanut butter, it is really expensive here but if you could send some that would be cool. but if you cant don't worry. so yeah that is pretty much it. i love you guys and hope all is going well for you. have a good week this week.

love Elder Daniel Shipley
