Sounds like caleb did a great job. what did you mean though by when i got set apart, i didnt understand that part.
im glad you guys had fun in california. i cant wait until next year when i can be there with you guys. it will be so much fun. anyways while you guys were having fun, i was here working hard, so here is my week.
Monday - so last monday we went to the central market and that was super fun. a lot of the elders that were going home went and bought a lot of things which i will do before i go home too. but as of now i didnt really have to much of an interest. i did buy a guatemala and american flag pin for my backpack but it was cheap so i gave in. haha. but yeah after me and some buddies went over to the catholic church and went and got a tour of it. it was pretty cool and really beautiful. i´ll give it to the Catholics, they sure do know how to decorate. but i´ll show you guys that when you come here. this church is really old and is one of the oldest ones here but it is pretty cool. anyways then that night we came back the area and did our internet and then we went to a fhe. we did it with the family of our comedor and the son who is in the bishopric taught us for once. he taught about making the most of our time and making the most of what we do. he says that we need to make every moment count and to be the best we can. it was really good and i really took that to heart. i want to work harder and never lose a moment so that i never regret a moment. but yeah it was a good lesson.
Tuesday - so Tuesday me and my buddy went on divisions again and it went pretty well. my buddy is from arizona too his name is elder price. he goes home soon. but we had fun. so we went with a couple of our investigators. we went with this one lady marielany. it was raining super hard and luckily she was there so we went in and talked with her a little bit then we ate dinner with her and then we were on our way. she is a really nice lady and offered to always help us out when we needed it. so that was cool. then after we went to our mission leaders house and taught a fhe with him. it went really really well. we taught about taking upon us the name of Christ. that really got me thinking too. but anyways we taught him and his family and they loved it. we ended by telling them how much we appreciate them and all the things they do for us and all the blessings they will receive for it. that is something that amazes me is how many blessings we can receive if we do what is right and stay on the right path. i really do love this church and all the things we can receive from it. i know the blessings are real and everything we teach these people really will bless their lives.
Wednesday - so on wednesday we went with our investigator danny again and things are not going to well with him and his wife. things are getting worse again. im not really to sure what i can tell him because im not professional with marriage stuff but im trying to help him however i can but he is in a really difficult position and i just gave him the best advice i could give him and hopefully he can get that working out with her. then we went with a couple more members and that night we went with one family called the family ruiz. they are a really cool family and we just taught them a quick lesson. but it was pretty sweet. but anyways that was our wednesday.
Thursday - So thursday, we didnt really have a good day and we went and contacted all day. it was a bummer and i really dont like contacting but there is always some good that comes from it. it was a bummer though but i still like doing it. we then went with an investigator family called the family deloroca. they are super cool and really nice. we taught them about the plan of salvation a little bit more and they love that subject. they always have so many questions about it and it is fun teaching them. it really helps me and my testimony on the plan as well. it is such a perfect plan and most churches dont even compare to the same doctrine that we have it is to perfect. but yeah that was fun. we also went with this member family that night and we ate dinner with them. it was fun and we really got to know them pretty well.
Friday - so friday we went with one of my other favorite families who is the family reyes. they are super cool. while we were there we talked about their kids serving missions and where they wanted to go. then we talked about some other things. they taught me how the political system works here and they told me i should run for president. haha it was funny. but anyways i got a couple bracelets for the family and i gave it to them. they loved it and told me they cant wait for me to come back and visit them with you guys. then we went with another family that night called the family robledo. they are really cool and really hyper. i think i found out why too. haha after we ate dinner Ti them i found out they gave us coffee. real cofee. ha my comp was a little mad about that because he went his whole mission without it and now just got snuck it. anyways we know what we will be teaching them next time we go to visit them. ha. but they are really nice and cool.
Saturday - So saturday we went with danny again and still it is worse. he said it got a little bit better at first but then it got worse again. i really hope it gets better though. we put a goal though that if it is not better by august then he has to separate with her. that is the conclusion he came to and well i hope it gets better so he doesnt have to do that. then we had our english class that night and we were locked out so we just ended up playing soccer in the street. then with hermano eric our mission leader we went with him again. we had our correlation where we talked about our week with him. it went well and then the wife made us some tamales, and they were so good. they were really spicy but they were good.
Sunday - So now im famous in the ward for bringing an inactive to church and his name is satan here in the ward. we have been working with him alot and were really getting through to him now. they call him satan because he cheated on his wife. but anyways church went good and they talked about doing fhe and the importance of them. here in the mission i have really realized the importance of them and i know that will be something important that i will do when i have my family. i know mom you were right. haha but after that me and my buddy kevin went and we read the book of mormon pretty much all afternoon. we got a little bit behind but we got caught up. then we went and visited one of my converts here in this area, yenifer and her family. and it went pretty good. we just taught them about always enduring to the end and being good members. so hopefully they will continue to be good members and work hard. i really am happy with my converts and they are all pilas. they make us happy with the stuff they do. anyways that night we also went back to the house and we got there and the land lord of our house was having a party with his family in the living room. haha it was funny. normally no one is ever at that house but they decided to take the party there. it was funny but when we got there the party ended quickly. haha our land lord told us we were the party poopers. haha but oh well.
sorry this letter is a little lame, it was a good week and we really worked hard, but today was just kind of a bummer of a day and im really tired and didnt really feel like writing to much. sorry. but yeah hope you have a great week and i´ll talk to you later. love you guys.
