Hey there how are you,

I am doing great and I am so excited to be able to write you this week. Our time is running out mom, pretty soon we will be talking in person, or on the phone, or skyping and having our little talks. Weird, huh? As for the plan with Eric, sounds great. I will run it over with President Stay and see what he thinks. Wednesday night however, he will not be able to eat dinner with the missionaries because President says it is a strictly missionary only dinner. I will talk to President Stay about maybe Eric just staying in the white house from Monday till Thursday, and if he says no, then we will stick to the original plan. If anything I will probably use Eric to go with me to go and do some visits to say goodbye to a couple people who are very dear to me. Tuesday we are in meetings in the morning and then we free up in the afternoon. You may want to consider giving him a video camera so he can record the experience from his point of view. Him getting on the plane, landing, hotel, meeting up with me, and etc. the best part will be the coming home though.

So this past week was amazing. We had so much fun, the baptisms were amazing too. Dayanna and Tatianna were baptized which with them being baptized completes another family. We really try to focus on families here in Guatemala. We had a brother from our ward take care of all the important stuff, like getting the talks ready, preparing the place and everything, which then allowed us to go and look for a couple people to bring to the baptism too. It was really neat to see the excitement in their faces as they know they are making a huge covenant with the Lord that day. The next day they received the Holy Ghost and they were so excited for that as well. It touched my heart to think that someone that young can just get it. If we could only all be as humble as all the kids in the world are.

One thing that I have noticed about changing a person, is that we need to always do it with the spirit, if we feel the spirit then we are teaching by it, if we don’t feel it, then it is for sure the person isn’t feeling it either. I am glad you were able to feel it as you were teaching mom. Always strive for that, sometimes it isn’t even important what you say or how you say it, if the souls can touch and have a connection, then there is something working there. Everything that is happening does not surprise me whatsoever. It is just the Lord preparing us for a bigger future and He has something bigger in store for us. What it is, who knows, will it be a rough path, yes, but will it be worth it in the end – that is a definite yes.

I love you mom and I am so proud to have you as my mother. You have done so much for us kids, and when I get home I will give you the love and respect I should have given you these past 21 years of my life. I am so happy I came here on my mission and I love every single person I have met and continue to meet. I can’t wait to get back and set up a plan with the missionaries and help them. I have a lot of work to do when I get there, and I can be a really big help to the missionaries. I love you all so much and I will talk to you in a week’s time. Sorry for emailing so late, we were on a bus all day yesterday and in church today and in meetings afterwards. We had a great orientation from President Stay about every member a missionary. Well, hasta luego.
